Two restorative days inside a 19th-century heritage palace — sound healing in a hall built to hold it, movement through painted corridors, a forest walk at first light, and meals that don't rush. Twelve guests, one weekend, no schedule to keep up with.
Chandigarh’s women’s wellness community — one year of movement, connection and showing up for yourself.
This September, Icawnic Living comes together with SheSundays to celebrate a year of movement, connection, wellness and community. Roots & Rituals is an invitation to slow down, reconnect and mark the moment together.
Step into a 350-year-old heritage palace where history lives in every corner. This homestay offers a chance to rest, relax, and experience the timeless charm of royal architecture and peaceful surroundings.
Once part of the legacy of the Baghal State, Padm Lakshmi Niwas carries the character of Arki's rich past into the present. Painted ceilings, frescoed corridors and quiet courtyards make the palace part of the retreat itself.
Times are a suggestion. Almost nothing here is compulsory — including the mornings.
Two days of sound, movement, shared meals, stillness, and time to simply be.
Painted corridors. Quiet courtyards. A palace that gives the weekend its sense of place.

Nimrit Gill — Founder, Icawnic Wellness · Sound & Energy Healer
Nimrit's path has wound from the newsroom to natural skincare to sound and soul — a former journalist turned wellness entrepreneur and energy healer. As founder of Icawnic Wellness, she crafts clean, Ayurveda-rooted skincare in small batches; alongside it, she guides deep healing through crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, chakra balancing, and crystal energy work.
A certified sound healer (Xiacome, 2019) who has trained with the Julius Academy and Diana Peers, she creates guided meditations that align mind, body, and spirit. Her purpose is simple: to help people reconnect with themselves, with nature, and with the power they already hold within.
“A retreat is not about adding more to your days. It is about creating enough space to notice what is already there.”

One night's stay within the heritage palace, all meals from the welcome lunch through the closing meal, and every retreat session — sound healing, improv movement, the forest walk and meditation, and the heart-opening ceremony.
The retreat takes place inside Padm Lakshmi Niwas, a heritage palace in Arki, Himachal Pradesh. The palace is part of the experience itself — painted ceilings, frescoed corridors, courtyards, and the quiet atmosphere of an old royal residence.
No. The sessions are guided and designed to be approachable. You don't need experience with sound healing, movement, meditation, or ceremonies.
Yes. The weekend is intentionally limited to twelve guests, creating a small group where you can arrive solo and still feel part of the experience.
Bring comfortable, layered clothing you can move in, along with walking shoes for the forest trail. Easy, relaxed clothing is best for the palace and the sessions.
Day One begins with arrival and welcome lunch at 13:30 and moves through sound healing, improv movement, dinner, and night meditation. Day Two begins with a forest walk and meditation at 07:00, followed by breakfast, the heart-opening ceremony, and a closing meal before departure at 13:00.
The group is capped at twelve guests. The smaller group is intentional, allowing the weekend to feel personal, unhurried, and connected.
No. The schedule is a guide rather than a checklist. Times are a suggestion, and the weekend is designed to leave room for your own pace.
